At FAL&R, planning for one's estate is a one to one relationship where a single attorney works with you to determine your personal needs and goals for the distribution of your estate. The Firm then works to assist you in gathering essential information regarding assets, heirs and potential tax issues. Where minor children are involved, guardianship and trusts are fully explored and our firm will assist you in making sure your choice for a guardian or trustee is preserved.

After working closely with the client, the FAL&R attorney will carefully reduce the client's wishes to a final estate plan. Where necessary, this may include drafting Wills, Trusts and a variety of Powers of Attorney. And where Medicaid issues are involved, our Firm will help you identify them and plan accordingly.

As part of our comprehensive Estate Planning service, we routinely provide our clients, at no cost, with Durable Power of Attorney, which allows another person to handle an individual's financial affairs. We also thoroughly explore Powers of Attorney for Health Care, which allow you to make health care decisions now, which will become effective if you are incapacitated.

After your estate planning documents are prepared, we will provide you with the originals and copies, and we will also scan and store copies of your documents on our computer system. Your documents will then be readily available to us should you have any questions or if the documents need to be updated. We also have the ability to provide you with copies in a CD-ROM format for a quick review on your home computer.
